A new programme, Positive Futures, offers free, confidential and impartial support to individuals and families living in the following Council wards:

  • Blairgowrie and the Glens
  • Highland
  • Perth City Centre
  • Perth City North
  • Strathmore

What kind of support can you get from Positive Futures?

You can get support on a wide range of money and debt issues, including:

  • Benefit checks to ensure that you are receiving your full benefit entitlement
  • Priority debts (including rent and mortgage costs, Council Tax and energy costs)
  • Adult learning
  • Digital learning
  • Banking and Credit Union services
  • Financial workshops
  • One-to-one advice on debt or making the most of your income
  • Outreach services, so that people in rural areas have easy access to our services too.

The Welfare Rights Team

What they offer: free, confidential and impartial welfare rights advice and representation, benefits advice and more, to residents in Blairgowrie & The Glens, Highland, Perth City Centre, Perth City North and Strathmore.

Perth Citizens’ Advice Bureau 

What they offer: Advice and support on all aspects of money management such as debt and budgeting; one-to-one and group chats; workshops; outreach.

Positive Futures is suitable for people of all ages, and aims to help you gain control of your finances and become confident at managing your money.
