Mindspace Positive Futures! - Case Study 04

Name of Employability Provider

This client is married. She came looking for help, as she was having difficulties with relationships and financial worries. She came to Mindspace pretty distraught and anxious, not knowing where to go.

How Did We Help?

I just got alongside her, I listened to her and I found out what she likes to do. We worked together for about a year. During that time we were able to encourage her to get some benefits, because neither she nor her husband had applied for any. I was able to signpost her to Perth Citizens Advice Bureau to get guidance on how to spend and look after money. She was able to encourage her husband to go too, and that was a great success.

She now has a job in a café. When she left us she wrote a beautiful note about what Mindspace had done for her, particularly peer support.
